“Believe”

“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.” – Carson Larson

When we combine strengths and passions with a sense of purpose and a strong belief in ourselves, we can become unstoppable!

Through a five week series of classes, students had a chance to envision their futures, reflect on their strengths, and celebrate the amazing young people that they are.

“Believe” reminds us that confidence cannot be transferred. Having a strong self-confidence can help us communicate better, maintain integrity, and be comfortable with reaching out for help or to help, if needed.

People of all ages can make a difference! Your energy, passion, and idealism are all necessary to encourage change and growth in the world. During our time working on BELIEVE we explored our strengths, our interests, and ways we can keep them aligned to help us lead unstoppable lives.

Affirmations

Our thoughts, our feelings, and our actions all impact our mental health.  Through positive affirmations we can translate thoughts into words and eventually into actions in order to manifest our intentions.

We explored affirmations that we could write in journals and post on our walls. Some of the affirmations we discussed include:

  • I am a survivor and I can get through this.
  • I am grateful for the people and things in my life.
  • Today, I am brimming with engery and filled with joy.
  • I am smart. I am strong. I am worthy of all I have in my life.

This project was supported by PA Cyber School and was created by families and students enrolled in the State College Branch.

Benefits of Journaling

Just like a brisk walk can help improve physical health, journaling is a great exercise for good mental health. Journaling reduces stress, boosts moods, and improves overall emotional well-being. We had a blast making journals during our time creating Believe!  Here are some journal prompts that were created by Jana Marie Foundation:

Hi Friends!

I was created by the students enrolled in the PA Cyber Charter School to remind us all to believe in ourselves as we are all perfectly imperfect. When we combine our strengths with our interests and a belief in ourselves we become unstoppable!
